August "Bo" Linnartz

August “Bo” Linnartz, Jr. is of counsel to Longoria & Kelly PLLC. He has been practicing law in the South Texas area since 1989. Bo received his undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University, graduating cum laude in 1986. He obtained his legal education at Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, graduating with honors in 1989. While in law school he distinguished himself academically by being admitted to the Order of Coif, receiving three (3) American Jurisprudence Awards, and serving as a member of the Texas Tech Law Review as well as being a Casenote Editor on the Board of Editors for the Texas Tech Law Review.

Upon completing his education, Bo fulfilled his lifelong dream of returning to his native South Texas where his roots ran three generations deep. He practiced with the firms of Petry & Petry, P.C., Matthews & Branscomb and Langley & Banack, Inc. before entering the business community as a founding member of a successful oilfield service company. Throughout his legal career and private business pursuits Mr. Linnartz has practiced in a wide array of areas, including representing clients in all aspects of business, commercial and real estate matters. Mr. Linnartz’s litigation practice includes representing clients in defense of tort and toxic tort claims as well as commercial and real estate litigation. He also has represented clients in transactional matters pertaining to business and energy contracts as well as real estate transactions. Mr. Linnartz was recognized by Best Lawyers in Texas for Real Estate-Litigation for the years 2014-19.

Mr. Linnartz is a lifelong resident of Carrizo Springs, Texas and has practiced throughout the South Texas area for the past 30 years. On the personal side, Bo continues to be engaged in commercial cattle production and has always been deeply committed to agricultural education for the youth of Texas. He currently serves as a member of the Texas FFA Foundation which promotes agricultural education and provides scholarship programs for Texas youth.
